For fee assistance: undergraduates taking a first degree at a Scottish university who were born in Scotland, or had a parent born in Scotland or have had at least two years of secondary education in Scotland.
For grants: graduates and members of staff of any age at a Scottish university.
For scholarships: graduates of any age of a Scottish university with a first-class honours degree.
Fee assistance: help with tution fees for a first degree course at a Scottish university.
Grants: given mainly for personal research in most fields covered by the university curriculum, and towards the travel and accommodation costs that this incurs.
Scholarships: maintenance grants, tution fees and some other costs while undertaking three years' postgraduate research at a university within the UK (normally Scotland).

Applications are considered as follows:
Fee assistance: from 1 April to 30 September for the following session; applications recieved after 1 October will not be considered.
Grants: closing dates for applications are 15 January, 15 May and 15 October.
Scholarships: 15 march for the following session.
